Home invasion and gun fire

There was a struggle between one of the suspects and the homeowner and police say the other suspect discharged a firearm into the residence before fleeing the scene.

A scary incident occurred early this morning in the Birchaven area of the city. 

Police are looking for the suspects involved in a forceful break-in around 1 a.m. this morning on Mountainview Drive. 

Police say the suspects unknown to the homeowners attempted to force their way into the residence.  There was a struggle between one of the suspects and the homeowner and police say the other suspect discharged a firearm into the residence before fleeing the scene.  No one was injured but police do not believe that this was a random incident.
