Nipissing University is pleased to welcome students from Mexico’s Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM), Campus Tampico, who are at Nipissing for an intensive study period, extending from June 27 – August 2, 2008.

There are 29 students and one faculty member from ITESM taking part in the program. This is the fifth consecutive year that students from ITESM have traveled to Nipissing to study business.

A welcome reception will be held for the students on Thursday, July 3. The reception includes a formal welcome from Dennis Mock, Nipissing University president; Josh Fortin, Nipissing University Student Union president; Anthony Rota, Nipissing-Timiskaming MP; Monique Smith, Nipissing MPP; and Sarah Campbell, North Bay City councilor.

The North Bay community is also involved in the ITESM students’ experience with a number of planned activities including two full-day business forums, in which the students will meet with North Bay business leaders to explore local businesses through tours and seminars. This is a chance for the students to learn about business practices in Canada while sharing insight into Mexican business practices.
