Highway 631 Closed (Update)

As of 3 p.m. Hwy 631 has been re opened to one lane at the scene of this collision.

The Ontario Provincial Police, Hornepayne detachment are advising that Highway 631 has been closed to traffic due to a serious motor vehicle collision.

At approximately 10 a.m. this morning a Chevrolet pickup truck entered the ditch area of Highway 631 and hit a rock cut.

Two people were in the vehicle, and one had to be extricated from the wreckage.

Police continue their investigation into the cause of the collision with the assistance of a Technical Traffic Collision Investigator.

No detour has been set up at the scene, but signage has been arranged for Highway 17 at Highway 631, and at Highway 11/ Highway 631.
