Highway 17 closed (Update)

Thessalon OPP advise the public that as of 3:00pm Hwy. 17 at Bruce Mines between Hwy 638 and Big Perch Bay Rd is now open.

The highway was closed for a potion of the day due to a fibre optic line down across the Highway.

Thessalon OPP advise the public that as of 12:30 Hwy. 17 at Bruce Mines between Hwy 638 and Big Perch Bay Rd is closed due to a Fibre optic line down across the Highway.

Bell repair crews are currently on scene and estimate about a 3 hour closure.

Light vehicles only (no tractor trailers) are being re-routed through the township roads.

Tractor trailers can consider Hwy 129.
