They also report that Highway 11 north is closed, but no details so far.

Weather is deteriorating, expect delays.

Various weather systems are moving through the Northeast Region. Plan your trip and give yourself extra time.

Environment Canada has issued a weather advisory for the north.

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected or occurring in some locations.

Flurries combined with strong westerly winds will give a prolonged period of reduced visibility in snow and blowing snow.

Conditions are expected to gradually improve overnight tonight as winds begin to ease.

Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when winds are expected to create blowing snow giving poor visibility to 800 metres or less for at least 3 hours.
