Highway 11 south of Temagami closed Update

Temiskaming OPP advise motorists that as of 4:50am Highway 11, 30 kms south of Temagami is open.

Temagami - Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a serious motor vehicle collision on Highway 11, South of Temagami and north of Hwy 64. Highway 11 is closed to northbound traffic at Highway 64 and closed to southbound traffic at 11b (Cobalt turn-off).

The OPP are asking for patience from motorists as there are no local detours and road conditions are very poor.

Public safety is of paramount concern and police are asking that motorists do not exit their vehicles while on the highway.

Technical Traffic Collision Investigation is underway and there are currently no projected estimates for highway re-opening. Updates will follow as the investigation develops.

A detour is not indicated at this time and the estimated duration of road advisory is unknown.
