Highway 11 north is closed in both directions just south of Kirkland Lake after two transport trucks collided late this morning. The area involved is between Highway 112 and Matheson Highway 11/101 Junction.
Highway 11 remains closed from Kenogami to Matheson.
The accident happened shortly after 11 a.m.
Officers from the Kirkland Lake OPP responded to the accident in Eby Township.
One person is in hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Highway 11 remains closed in both directions at 2:25 p.m. say police and there is no re-opening time yet.
There is a detour. For northbound traffic via Hwy 112 to Hwy 66 to Hwy 672 to Hwy 101 and merging back to Hwy 11, vice versa for southbound traffic
The investigation is continuing with the assistance of the OPP's Technical Traffic Collision Investigators and an OPP Collision Reconstructionist.
