High St. man charged with dangerous driving

On the 20th of Feb. at approximately 2 AM a vehicle that was left running in a parking lot on Delaware Av. was stolen.

The vehicle information was called in to the North Bay Police Service and our officers spotted it and stopped it on Pinewood Park Dr.

As the officers approached it, the vehicle accelerated away once more as the officers followed, until it arrived at Wasi Rd. and took southbound Highway 11.
Here, the officers stopped following due to high speeds and concern for traffic.

The vehicle was stopped with a spike belt in the area of Katrine by the Ontario Provincial Police.

Abraham KAMERMAN 36 years old of High St. in North Bay is charged with Theft Under $5000., Dangerous Driving, Failing to Stop for Police, and Breach of an Undertaking. He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
