He's no longer a lawyer

Two weeks ago city lawyer Alain Perron received the call he has been waiting for his whole legal career -- that he was no longer a lawyer … no longer a lawyer because he was appointed to the role of judge serving on the provincial bench.

Perron told BayToday the move is a big one and he feels lucky to have been selected for the position out of a huge pool of qualified candidates.

“There’s a lot of hard work but there are a lot of good lawyers that want this position and the completion is always stiff that and I’m happy the Attorney General found confidence in me and looking forward to serve the people of Parry Sound.”

Perron is the third lawyer from the firm of Wallace Carr Klein & Trenker to be appointed to the bench a feat rarely achieved.

Perron's bio is outlined in the news release below.
