This week marks Mental Health Week in Canada and Hands the FamilyHelpNetwork is marking the occasion by hosting a new Family in Harmony photo contest, and there are prizes to be won.
The COVID-19 pandemic is creating stressful times for children and families.
"With the importance of mental health keenly recognized, Hands wants to share how families are taking care of their mental health," says spokesman Bob Pipe. "Please show us what you have discovered about your family that embodies the idea of Family in Harmony, and represents you and your family’s mental health and well-being right now."
Entering is easy. Just send a photo of you and your family enjoying a Family in Harmony moment to [email protected], with a few short sentences about how you are enjoying some moments of fun and mental wellness during these uncertain times. This photo contest is open to all families.
Prizes:
- First prize is $500 (gift card at a local business of the winner’s choice)
- Second prize is $300 (gift card at a local business of the winner’s choice)
- Third prize is $200 (gift card at a local business of the winner’s choice)
- Fourth place to seventh place winners will receive a $25 Amazon gift card.
- The top 10 photos, with the submitted written piece, will be featured on the Hands Facebook page.
Winners will be judged based on this criteria:
- Relevance to theme
- Respecting Rules/Regulations
- Originality
- Descriptive information
- Overall Impression
Email submissions will be accepted until May 15, at 4:30 p.m.
