Environment Canada says a heat warning remains in effect for the region.
It will remain mainly sunny today but with an afternoon breeze thankfully. High 30 but a humidex of 38. UV index 5 or moderate.
Tomorrow will be much the same...mainly sunny with a high of 29 but humidex of 36.
Meanwhile, we set a heat record yesterday of 28.3 which smashed the old record set in 2004 of 26.5.
Back in 1950 we actually had 1.3 cm of snowfall on the 23rd.
If we do reach 30 today it will break another record on Sept. 24 of 26.6, also set in 2004.
