Environment Canada is continuing its heat warning again today for:

  • North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
  • West Nipissing - French River

Hot and humid conditions continue today.

A hot and humid air mass remains in place across the area. Daytime maximum temperatures will once again be near 30 degrees with humidex values of 36 or above.

Cooler temperatures and lower humidity are expected by Wednesday with the passage of a cold front Tuesday night.

The risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

Drink plenty of water even before you feel thirsty and stay in a cool place.

Reduce your heat risk. Schedule outdoor activities during the coolest parts of the day.

Never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
