Have you seen the sign? Updated

The North Bay Snowmobile Club reported good news on Sunday that Jim at Torbay Cottages on Banner Avenue had located their large sign.

The club says Jim found the missing sign sticking out of some ice and snow and he indicated that the wind blew the sign off, but not to worry because he had reattached it to the posts and secured the sign by adding few more screws.

The North Bay Snowmobiler's Club would like the assistance of the public in retrieving one of the Club's Trail Signs which was recently vandalized on Lake Nipissing, in the vicinity of Champlain Park.

The sign was torn off the wooden frame and is currently missing. A photo of a typical NBSC Trail Map sign is attached.

These signs are very expensive to produce and their absence makes it difficult for touring snowmobilers to find the local trails and the hospitality services who pay to advertise their businesses on the Trail Signs.

Anyone having information as to the whereabouts of the Trail Sign is asked to call the North Bay Snowmobiler's Club at 476-2736 or Gateway Signs at 476-7264.
