Residents of North Bay have a chance to make board game history this year by becoming one of the few Canadian cities chosen to grace the Canadian version of Monopoly.

Don’t you think we have the stuff to become the next “Boardwalk”? We’ve submitted photos to Monopoly of some of our favourite tourist attractions which highlight the history of our region, the Gateway Arch, the Chief Commanda, the Heritage Railway and Carousel and the Dionne Quints Museum. We have made it into the campaign, and now our goal is to get to #1.

To raise awareness for the North Bay Monopoly Challenge, a good natured game of classic Monopoly will take place at Discovery North Bay on Friday, January 22nd 2010 at 1pm.
