Gearing up for life after college third year Graphic Design students hosted an open house Friday to showcase the works they have created during their tenure at Canadore College.

From pop up resumes to menus to calendars the student portfolios show the progression of their work over the last three years and are an important tool to have when entering the work field or cold calling on potential clients.

Graduating student Kristina Plesa, who would eventually like to work in layout design for a magazine, says she feels the course covered all the bases and she is ready to start the next phase in her life.

โ€œThe program was actually pretty good I found it included a lot of different aspects of art in general not just graphics,โ€ she tells Baytoday.

โ€œWe learned marker rendering and painting and photography as well so I feel like we are really prepared for the workplace.โ€

The event is also a great networking event that allows business people from the area connect face to face with the students.
