According to Gasbuddy.com the most expensive gas in North Bay Thursday afternoon was this Esso on Algonquin.

The rise of gas prices in North Bay today is being blamed on the shutdown of two main fuel lines in Alabama.

An excavator broke the Colonial Pipeline near Helena, Alabama, killing a worker and injuring five. Experts say the U.S. may try to fill the void with Canadian gasoline, driving up the price.

Prices at some stations have jumped five cents.

You'll have to get used to rising prices. Next year the new provincial cap and trade regulations click in, rising prices by another five cents a litre.

According to Gasbuddy.com, the cheapest gas in North Bay this afternoon is Spyke's on Trout Lake Road at 104.1, while the most expensive is the Esso on Algonquin Ave. where a litre is selling for 107.9.

Today's Ontario average is 105.1.
