Gas and dash driver faces multiple charges

A woman that filled up with gas, then took off without paying, is facing a number of charges say Almaguin Highlands OPP. The theft occurred from a South River gas station last Wednesday. The woman stole $85 worth of gas.

A woman that filled up with gas, then took off without paying, is facing a number of charges say Almaguin Highlands OPP. 

The theft occurred from a South River gas station last Wednesday.

The woman stole $85 worth of gas.

Police stopped the car on Highway 11, Armour Township, and discovered the female driver not only stole gas, but was also in possession of stolen licence plates, a stolen 2002 Jeep and marijuana.

The accused, Jennifer Cobban, 38 of London, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

  • Theft Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime Under $5,000
  • Possession of Property Obtained by a Crime Over $5,000
  • Fail to Comply with Probation Order
  • Possession of a Scheduled II Substance, Cannabis Marijuana – Under 30 grams
  • Possession of a Scheduled II Substance, Cannabis Resin – Over one gram
  • Use a False or Invalid Insurance Card that he or she ought to know is false or invalid
  • Driver Fail to Surrender Licence
  • Use Plate not Authorized for Vehicle

The accused was held in police custody and is scheduled to appear in bail court at the Ontario Court of Justice tomorrow in Parry Sound.
