Fundraising Info-Session For Non-Profits - March 10th

The Rural Development Officers (RDOs) of the Volunteer Centre of the Blue Sky Region will hold a fundraising info-session for member agencies of the Centre and any other interested non-profits on Wednesday, March 10th. The session will be held at the Volunteer Centre, 183 First Avenue West, North Bay, from 9:30am to 12pm.

The info-session will provide background on the role of the RDOs, the partnership between the Foundation for Rural Living and the Volunteer Centre, and will also include:

· mini-fundraising audit to be completed during the session – this audit will introduce concepts that enhance fundraising ability (ex. the keeping of donor records, the creation of a fundraising strategy).

· presentation from the Ministry of Northern Development and Mines on its current programs and services.

· hard-copy hand-out of a grant proposal self-assessment tool.

AND a dedicated period of time for an open forum where agencies can share funding concerns with the RDOs and each other.
