The North Bay Food Bank is getting ready for another busy winter season.

Debbie Marson, executive director of the North Bay Food Bank says usage once again is increasing.

"It is a consistent use," explained Marson.

"We are a monthly hamper for fixed address clients in our service area and we are seeing numbers going up every day."

Marson says they are seeing a lot of new faces at the North Bay Food Bank too.

"Every week where people we have not seen are coming back to us or new clients," she said.

"People relocating to town who have been here a couple of months and are still trying to get settled and are struggling will come."

"We are trying to make sure we have enough food and supplies to serve everybody who comes through."

Marson says lately they are in need of school snacks and juice boxes at the local facility located at 1016 Fisher Street in North Bay.

Marson says they are accepting monthly donations to help meet the demand.

Anyone interested in donating can do so online at: northbayfoodbank.ca/donate
