City of North Bay, Water & Wastewater Department, will be continuing a Directional Flushing Program on Lakeshore Drive and all side streets (both sides of Lakeshore) between (and including) Banner Ave & Premier Rd on  Monday, August 17th until further notice.

The flushing will be done throughout the day time hours from 8 am to 4 pm.

Directional Flushing of water mains is a regular maintenance program throughout all areas of the city.

City officials say the flushing may cause low water pressure and or dirty water.

"The water pressure will become normal once we stop flushing in your area," Public Works states in the Thursday release.

"If you develop discoloured or “dirty” water, once we are no longer in your area, start running your cold water at a tap with no screen until the water clears. You may have to run water from 30 to 60 minutes to clear the water."

Concerned residents with any additional questions can contact the City of North Bay Public Works at (705) 474-4340.
