Mark and Marion Kosturik of M&M Meat Shops North Bay joined their colleagues nationwide by firing up their barbeques Saturday for the 21st Annual M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day benefiting Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada (CCFC).

Staff, volunteers and even mayor Vic flipped burgers to fundraising goal of $2.1 million nationwide. With a donation of just $2.50 folks received a hamburger or hot dog, a drink and a bag of chips. All products and time were donated, so every penny raised goes directly to the CCFC for its research programs.

The M&M Meat Shops Charity BBQ Day is the CCFC’s largest annual fundraising activity by any single supporter and over the past 20 years they have raised more than $16.5 million for medical research for the painful and unpredictable disorder.
