First place awards for Odyssée's theatre troupe

École secondaire publique Odyssée’s theatre troupe “Son du Silence” presented their theatrical production entitled ‘Phénix’ at the Sears Ontario Drama Festival’s at the district level this past weekend at St Joseph Scollard Hall Secondary School.

The Sears Ontario Drama Festival is an annual competition which includes a district, a regional and a provincial level. This year, eight local productions took the stage and Odyssée’s “Phénix” won the “Outstanding Production Award”. The troupe will represent the school at the regional level of the Sears Ontario Drama Festival, in Sudbury, at the end of April.

Véronique Ayotte, stage manager for this production, won the only stage manager’s award offered in this festival. The technical crew, which includes Ryan Lindenbach, KayLee Maude, Claude Hamel and Véronique Ayotte, was also recognized for their excellent skills in lighting and sound.

Congratulations to all of the participants and thank you to Mme Estelle Guillemette, M. Marcel Morin, M. Alain Legrand, M. Raymond Perreault and Mme Natalie Séguin for all of their hard work and dedication.
