Fire crews responded to a fire at Piche Fern & Son scrap yard off Industrial Road in North Bay just after 4:30am Thursday.
Thick smoke could be seen and a pungent odour was detected around the overpass, however, reports indicate that there are no concerns for residents' safety.
Fire offcials say the blaze broke out in a pile of cars and two cranes are being used to pull the cars apart.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
