Fiona sees the silver lining in a bag full of bugs

Almaguin Highlands Secondary School is very proud to announce that student Bernadette Weaver took won a silver medal at the Canada World Science Fair in the intermediate category, Earth and Environmental science division for her project 'Working Overtime'.

At the same time Land of Lakes Senior Public School students Fiona Weaver and Lauren Andersen also won a silver medal in the junior category, Health sciences division for their project 'Bugs in a Bag'.

"This is a great honour to the East Parry Sound Region and to our schools," notes Lisa O'Kane, Principal Almaguin Highlands Secondary School.
