It's overdue, but the John Street bridge is finally open.
The $3 million project opened to vehicular traffic today.
The old bridge was in extremely poor condition and this is a larger structure due to flooding concerns.
Also upgraded was the bicycle path. The Kate Pace Way now goes under the road so users no longer have to cross John St.
