Field man charged for possessing child porn

A Nipissing-area man has been charged with possession of child pornography following an investigation by several police agencies.

FIELD, ON, May 13 /CNW/
Members of the Ontario Provincial Police Child
Pornography Section (Project "P"), the Ontario Provincial Police Electronic Crime Section in conjunction with the West Nipissing Police Service, have arrested and charged a Field man following a child pornography investigation.

On Wednesday, May 12, 2004, members of the OPP Child Pornography Section, OPP Electronic Crime Section and West Nipissing Police Service executed a search warrant at 24 Grande Alee, Field, Ontario. As a result of the search,
a number of floppy diskettes, compact disks and other items pertinent to the investigation were seized.

Police arrested and charged, Peter HARRIMAN, 56, of 24 Grande Alee, Field, Ontario, with one count of possession of Child Pornography and one count of breach of probation. The accused is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice, Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, on July 08, 2004.

The investigation is continuing.
