Last year the Ferris Lions Club purchased iPads which enabled Cassellholme to provide many opportunities for their residents.

The Club did that so seniors could use the iPads to connect with their friends and families who live outside of North Bay.

“It’s amazing the number of doors technology opens for seniors,” stated Mandy Gilchrist, Activity Manager at Cassellholme for the Aged.

The Ferris Lions stepped up once again to help seniors in our community.

The club donated iPads and JBL speakers for music therapy and interactive games.

Lion's Club officials say music therapy has many health benefits as it bonds people together.

"Music can change a mood, calm anxious bodies, and get people up and moving, whether they are mobile or tapping their feet while they are in their wheelchair," the Ferris Lion's Club stated via social media.

"Thanks once again to Mandy Gilchrist for taking care of our community of seniors."
