The students and staff at Ferris Glen Public School have been remembering our soldiers in Afghanistan for several weeks now by wearing red on Fridays. This Friday, November 9th, they will combine the wearing of red with a special Remembrance Day ceremony as well.

As part of their Remembrance Day Ceremony, special guests from the Royal Canadian Legion in Callander will be in attendance.

The Ceremony will consist of readings of letters from students to the veterans, poems and presentations. The children from grades 1 and 2 will also sing “Peace Like a River”. At the end of the ceremony, the students will present a book of poetry and letters that the students have prepared in their classes for the veterans.

Parents and members of the community are invited to join the staff and students to remember. The Ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m.
