Ever been tempted to slam your brakes on a tailgater?

For unknown reasons, the driver of the Volkswagen slammed on his brakes and was rear-ended by the Ford.

On December 26, officers from the Espanola Detachment of the OPP received a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 17, Lorne Township where both involved drivers were irate and yelling at each other.

Investigation revealed a Volkswagen Jetta pulled out of a side road to go eastbound on Highway 17, followed by a Ford Focus. 

For unknown reasons, the driver of the Volkswagen slammed on his brakes and was rear-ended by the Ford. 

None of the occupants were injured and both vehicles sustained minor damage.

The male driver of the Ford, Jordan Christopher Halliday, age 31 of Whitefish, was charged with "Follow Too Closely".

The male driver of the Volkswagen, Donald Leblanc, age 24 of Azilda, was charged with "Careless Driving".
