ERT, canine unit help execute early morning OPP search warrant

A Laurier Township man was arrested and charged with possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order

The Ontario Provincial Police has charged one person after executing a search warrant.

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2024, shortly before 5 a.m., the Almaguin Highlands OPP Crime Unit, with the assistance of the North Bay OPP Crime Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT), Canine Unit, and Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed a search warrant at a residence in the Township of Laurier.

As a result of the investigation, Tyler Busch, 42, of Laurier Township, was arrested and charged with possession of ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.

The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice Video Bail Court in Parry Sound on February 7, 2024.
