We could be in store for yet another snow day in the North Bay area.

That's because Environment Canada issued a special weather statement for Greater Sudbury, New Liskeard-Temagami and North Bay-West Nipissing.

Environment Canada says freezing rain is expected to appear Monday.

"Precipitation associated with an approaching Colorado Low will move into portions of northeastern Ontario Monday morning or early afternoon. Several hours of freezing rain are possible in some areas from Monday afternoon into the evening," Environment Canada noted in the weather statement.

"At this point, the greatest threat of freezing rain will likely be from Elliot Lake towards Sudbury and areas north of the city of North Bay.

"Freezing warnings may be issued for some areas as the event draws nearer."
