Elliot Lake man arrested for DUI

STRONG TWP - On Saturday April 21, 2012 at approximately 1215pm, an officer from the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police was patrolling Highway 11 in Strong Township.

The officer stopped the vehicle a silver Pontiac Bonneville for speeding and subsequently arrested the driver for exceeding 80 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The driver, Cody PEARCE (38) was charged with exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content/motor vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada, Race a motor vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario and other Highway Traffic Act and Liquor Licence Act offences.

PEARCE was released from police custody and is too appear in Sundridge Court on 29 May 2012
