Not a lot of details yet, but yesterday during the noon hour, Iroquois Falls OPP officers were called to investigate a collision involving a truck and a snowmobile on Highway 11 just south of Iroquois Falls.
The investigation revealed, Amanda Huxley, 11 years old, of Burlington, was operating her snowmobile when she crossed the highway and struck a northbound transport.
She was rushed to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Highway remained closed for seven hours while OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators conducted their investigation.
