Elderly man succumbs to injuries from early January crash

An elderly man passed away less than three weeks after the accident

More details have been revealed in relation to a multi-vehicle accident that occurred on Highway 11 North just south of Temagami on January 3rd around 1:45 in the afternoon.   

There were a number of other serious accidents that occurred along the highway 11 that day. 

The OPP report that a northbound motor vehicle collided with a stopped motor vehicle, causing the second motor vehicle to strike a transport, stopped in front of the line. A fourth motor vehicle travelling northbound struck the third motor vehicle and caused a chain reaction. 

Four people sustained non-life threatening injuries. 

The passenger of the third motor vehicle, Joseph Brule, age 91, of Fauquier, Ontario, was transported to hospital and succumbed to his injuries on January 26, 2018.

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with this investigation.
