Edward the Hammer

A 25-year-old Cornwall man has been charged by the North Bay Police Service after allegedly hitting another man with a hammer. The incident took place early Saturday morning when the man was struck in the head and body with the tool.

The incident took place early Saturday morning when the man was struck in the head and body with the tool.

The aggressor left the scene but was arrested a short time later by Cst. Henri O'Neill of the North Bay Police Service.
The male victim suffered skull injuries and attended the North Bay General Hospital
where he was admitted.

Edward Clarence Stepto is charged with aggravated assault and breach of probation. He was kept in custody awaiting a bail hearing.
