Earlton Woman Injured in Motor Vehicle Collision

(Temiskaming Shores, Ontario) – On Friday the 16th of June 2006 at approximately 8:45 a.m. an New Liskeard woman was seriously injured in a collision on Highway #11 at Drive Inn Road in the previous Township of Dymond.

Mireille PAQUET, 32 of Earlton was southbound on Highway 11 and attempted to turn left onto Drive Inn Road. She was operating a 2001 Chevrolet 4-door gray

Andre HURTUBISE, 64 of New Liskeard was northbound on Highway #11 operating a 2002 Chevrolet SUV and struck the southbound vehicle that was attempting to make a left hand turn.

Both persons were taken to Temiskaming Hospital by ambulance, PAQUET has been airlifted out as she is being treated for neck injury.

Thomas SMITH was taken to Temiskaming Hospital by ambulance then air lifted to Sudbury General Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

Provincial Constable Scott HARDWICK is continuing the investigating..
