Two North bay men face drug trafficking charges after arrests yesterday morning.

The pair were arrested near their Princess Street West home.

Hendrikus Vanderberg, age 27, was charged with:

  • one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking
  • one count of possession of oxycodone; and
  • one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Kye John-Dean Moore, age 19, was charged with:

  • one count of possession of methamphetamine pills for the purpose of trafficking
  • one count of possession of MDMA (Ecstasy) for the purpose of trafficking; and
  • one count of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.

Police seized a small quantity of suspected oxycodone pills, over 350 suspected methamphetamine pills, over three grams of suspected Ecstasy, 129 grams of suspected cannabis, three scales, and $350 in Canadian currency.

The total value of the drugs seized is estimated to be over $4,500.

Both accused were released from custody with court appearances scheduled for July 21st.
