Dramafest back to show off student acting skills

Formerly known as the Sears Drama Festival, the Regional Dramafest gives high school drama students an opportunity to showcase their skills on stage and behind the scenes in an adjudicated competition with other high schools

The National Theatre School (NTS) North Regional Dramafest Showcase is back for another year. 

Formerly known as the Sears Drama Festival, the Regional Dramafest gives high school drama students an opportunity to showcase their skills on stage and behind the scenes in an adjudicated competition with other high schools. 

Schools entered for this year’s edition are Almaguin Secondary School, Chippewa Secondary School, Huntsville High School, St. Joseph Scollard Hall, and West Ferris Secondary School.

Dramafest will be held at West Ferris Secondary School. 

Almaguin, Huntsville, and West Ferris will be performing their shows on Friday, April 19 from 7 to 10 p.m., while Chippewa, St. Joseph Scollard Hall, and a second West Ferris show will be presented on Saturday, April 20 from 2:30 to 5 p.m. 

Tickets are available at the door for $15 each night, while kids under 12 are free.
