Bateman, Betsey and Banksy evoke endangered landscapes, enchanted apparel and enlightened provocations which tie perfectly to the theme of tonight’s 3B Downtown Art & Fashion Show.
The event, which brings the world of art, fashion, and performance together, is a major fundraiser for the WKP Kennedy Gallery
* Endangered (as seen in the works of artist Robert Bateman, some of whose work will be auction off at the event, and Lise Melhorn-Boe who will be our exhibiting artist in the Gallery II Main Space)
* Enchanted (as in the whimsical works of fashion designer Betsey Johnson)
* Enlightened (like urban stencil/graffiti artist Bansky)
Gallery spokesperson Alex Campbell says 25 local artists have taken up the challenge to work outside of their medium to create wearable art.
The event includes art and fashion runway action and auction, raffles, door prizes, refreshments aplenty, live performance and a post runway party.
Tickets for the event are just $20 and can be purchased at the door.
