Dog gone! This chapter closes

The story of Dunaj, the Downtown Doberman took an unexpeced twist today.

"I no longer own Dunaj," owner Rob Szalas told BayToday this afternoon.

"He's with another owner in an undisclosed location."

Szalas says he was ordered to hand over the dog to the Health Unit at noon today, after the organization told him he had breached the conditions of a court order.

However, Szalas says the Health Unit based that decision on a year old photo the Health Unit had seen on Facebook of a woman cuddling the unmuzzled dog.

Szalas added that he will continue the fight for his and his dog's rights.

A representative of the Health Unit declined comment.
