Dodgeball Tournament will benefit Shinerama

Dodgeball enthusiasts from all walks of life are invited to participate in a tournament, showcasing their skills, camaraderie, and team spirit at Nipissing University Saturday, June 24.

The event will kick off at 10 a.m. and will feature teams vying for dodgeball glory at the R. J. Surtees Athletics Centre. 

The Nipissing University Student Union says the Shinerama Dodgeball Tournament, promises to bring together students, faculty, and community members for "a day of exhilarating dodgeball action."

With an entry fee of $10 for everyone, the Shinerama Dodgeball Tournament offers "a fantastic opportunity for individuals to come together, engage in healthy competition, and support a great cause. "

All proceeds from the event will go toward the Shinerama campaign, a nationwide initiative aimed at raising funds and awareness for Cystic Fibrosis research.

Preston English, VP Student Life said, "It's a fantastic opportunity to showcase our dodgeball skills and rally behind the important cause of Cystic Fibrosis research. We invite everyone to join us for a day of fun, excitement, and community bonding."

Teams interested in participating must register at linktr.ee/nusutalks. Each team must consist of at least two females, with two females required to be on the court at all times during the matches. The maximum team size is nine players, with seven players actively participating on the court.
