The Nipissing Naturalists Club will be host a presentation on La Vase Portages Wednesday December 10th at 7:30 p.m. in the Casselholme auditorium.
If you have ever been curious as to where and what La Vase portages are, or whether Champlain actually crossed this historic height of land portage or not, this is a great way to find out. La Vase Portages are one of three ancient travel corridors that cross what is now the City of North Bay and were already a thousand years old when the Voyageurs first arrived almost 400 years ago to this area.
