At its annual organizational meeting held on Wednesday, December 18th, trustees of the Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord school board (CSCFN) re-elected Ronald Demers as Chairperson and Diane Corriveau as Vice-Chairperson for 2014.

Mr. Demers, representative for West Nipissing, was elected by acclamation.

He first became a trustee of the CSCFN board in 1998, the year of the inauguration of the board, and has been Chairperson since Mrs. Diane Corriveau, representative for East Nipissing, was also elected by acclamation.

She first became a trustee of the CSCFN board in 2004 and has been the board’s Vice-Chairperson since 2011.

Monique Ménard, Director of Education at the CSCFN board, is thankful for the commitment of both Ronald Demers and Diane Corriveau.

“Their devotion and numerous years of experience are valuable and the tradition of excellence will continue to live on. I am honored to work with all our passionate trustees to continue offering top-quality French language Catholic education to all our students.”

Nolan Desjardins of École secondaire catholique Algonquin in North Bay, Candace Esch of École secondaire catholique Élisabeth-Bruyère in Mattawa and Natasha Fortin of École secondaire catholique Franco-Cité in Sturgeon Falls are the student trustees for 2013-2014.

The CSCFN board will also continue to benefit from the experience of the following school trustees: Nicole Fournier (North Bay), Roland Rochon (North Bay), Stéphan Poulin (West Nipissing region) and François Rivet (West Nipissing region).
