On the morning of August 8, 2009 Almaguin Highlands OPP and Parry Sound EMS responded to a call of a 15 year old female needing medical attention at a cottage on Jack Lake, Armour Township. Information revealed the young person had been sexually assaulted.
The accused, Tim Welch, 31 years old of Delhi, ON was immediately located and arrested. The accused has been charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Breach of Probation and Supply Liquor to Person under 19 years of age. The accused was remanded into custody and held till his first court appearance on Monday, August 10, 2009 in Parry Sound, ON.
