Widdifield Secondary School students are vested not only in their own school community but also in the greater North Bay community and it shows in everything they do throughout the year.

Currently the grade 11/12 dance and vocal classes under the tutelage of Jocelyn Bell have spent the semester preparing a spectacular show with dance and vocal numbers, not only to demonstrate what they have learned, but at the same time help in the community.

Bell says it has been a lot of work, but they have had a lot of fun and she is proud of what her students have accomplished.

On Wednesday May 9 the dance students showcased a number routines from lyrical, jazz, hip hop, modern to musical theatre that they had choreographed all to aid the North Bay Food Bank.

Tonight, Thursday May 17, the students will be entertaining the residents of the Empire Living Centre.

Concluding the series of benefits will be a public performance Thursday May 24, for The Cancer Society from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Widdifield Theatre.
