Crack cocaine, marijuana, and methadone seized after drug arrests

Police say the total street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $800.

Following an ongoing Controlled Drugs and Substances Act investigation, a traffic stop conducted at Delaware and Landsdowne, and the execution of a search warrant at a home on Aberdeen Avenue in the early morning hours yesterday, officers with the North Bay Police Service’s Street Crime unit arrested and charged:

Corey Jason Lamarre, age 27, of North Bay with:

  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance;
  • One count of possession for the purpose of trafficking; and
  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

A 27-year old North Bay woman was charged with:

  • One count of possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000; and
  • One count of possession of a controlled substance.

As a result of the investigation, North Bay Police seized the following as evidence:

  • Seven grams of crack cocaine;
  • 1.7 grams of marijuana;
  • 90ml of 20mg Methadone;
  • a large amount of Canadian currency, estimated to be over $5,000.

Police say the total street value of the drugs seized is estimated at $800.

Lamarre was held in custody for bail, while the woman was released from custody with a court date scheduled for March 8th.
