Lots of action for fans of country music today.

The Nipissing Country Music Association has its annual Northern Ontario Open Country Singing Contest.

It's being held at Yarlaski Park in Callander at the Billy Barber Complex over the next three days.

The contest started this morning at 11 and continues right through until the Sunday finals. 

Rain or Shine, this event will take place free to all, and the grounds are handicap accessible as it's under the covered rink at the community centre. 

As well as entertainment there are, many different vendors and food is available on site. 

Handicap parking is available and a designated smoking area will be set up.  

Tonight, Summer in the Park at North Bay's waterfront will see country artists
