A concert with local country rock artist Cory Marks will highlight a long list of events part of Jordan's Bash for Hope taking place this weekend.
Jordan’s Bash for Hope is a non-profit community event to help bring awareness for Colon Cancer.
Organizers say the funds raised are donated to Colon Cancer Canada and to local families fighting their own cancer fight.
The event honours the life of paramedic Jordan Gardiner who passed away from Stage 4 Colon Cancer earlier this year.
The multiple events include beach volleyball, wrestling, cycling road race, food vendors and music highlighted by Marks' performance on Saturday night.
The Northland Wrestling event starts at 1 p.m. Saturday.
The Music stage will be located behind the Oak Street Parking lot beside the Museum, while the volleyball tournament will be at the Vision Sports and Entertainment Courts. Organizers add that music will also be going on inside Lou Dawgs downtown.
"We want to inspire hope to everyone and keep Jordan Gardiner’s legacy alive," organizers say.
Music begins Friday evening at 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The wristbands, which are $20, can be picked up at the gates by the outdoor stage behind the Oak Street parking lot/Dionne Quints Museum
