Cops not playing games with X-Box thief

Early yesterday, around 3:50 a.m., a sharp-eyed witness called police about a man who had been seen breaking into a home on First Avenue West. The thief was seen escaping with a TV and an XBox.

Early yesterday, around 3:50 a.m., a sharp-eyed witness called police about a man who had been seen breaking into a home on First Avenue West.

The thief was seen escaping with a TV and an XBox.

Police found the man with the stolen items on Algonquin Avenue shortly thereafter.

North Bay Police arrested and charged Mark Prudhomme, 25, with break and enter, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of marihuana.

He is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, August 26th.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, the North Bay Police Service responded to 208 calls that resulted in 14 arrests.

Offences included theft under $5000, fraud under $5000, shoplifting, domestic assault, public intoxication, and break and enter.
