Cops and families walk for Diabetes

Officers, along with immediate family members, from the North Bay OPP Cluster (which includes North Bay, Mattawa and Powassan detachments) participated in the 10th annual Walk to Cure Diabetes at Lee Park/Kate Paceway in North Bay Ontario on Sunday June 3rd, 2007.

Officers and their families raised $1,293.00 in a short period of time. Acting Staff Sergeant Bill O’Shea, Detachment Commander at North Bay, (who lead his detachment members in the walk), was pleased, “We surpassed our corporate goal by almost $300.00 which very impressive.” The Cluster was one of the 60 participating business representatives from the area that raised money for this worthwhile cause.
